WHAT IS AUTOMATON?

Automation is the control and integration of a variety of sub-systems within your home, commercial space or marine craft, to create a smart and intuitive space – Audio & Visual, Lighting, Shades & Blinds, Security, Access Control, Heating & Cooling, Irrigation, Navigation, Light Switches and Electrical Outlets – controlled all from a Touch Panel, iPad, Smartphone and more recently, your own voice.

What are the benefits of having your space automated? There are many benefits, however the main ones are energy savings (and cost savings over time), the ability to control your system remotely, added security and convenience – it is all about a lifestyle.

Automation allows you to schedule events that provide automatic operation of tasks that you would otherwise have to perform yourself on a daily basis. For example – we could set up a “coming home” event that turns on lights and heating, and closes the blinds, all activated from your phone as you leave work.

Automation uses a combination of hardware and software technology that enable control and management over a multitude of systems. To make all of this work, not only do you need the right integrator for what you require, but they need to be involved from the outset of your project’s commencement. Having an integrator involved from the beginning allows for the pre-wire of cables throughout the property, which means a more reliable performance as wired equipment is more consistent than some wireless equipment, this is especially true on a marine craft.

Because of the myriad of new devices coming to the market, it is also important to choose the right integrator as some of these new devices don’t “talk” with each other within a complex system. Which is where everything can fall down. At Liquid Automation, we ensure you don’t end up with a bunch of gadgets that are frustrating to use and don’t work with each other, rather – we provide a seamless integration of different systems, combined with sophisticated programming to produce an intuitive user interface that is easy to use.
