The Directors

With the combined guidance of Bruce and Stephan as directors, your new automation/entertainment installation is bound to be a smooth, stressless and fun experience.

Director: Stephan Goodhue

Stephan has worked in the marine industry since 1992 crewing as Electronics, Mechanical and AV / IT Engineer on yachts around the world for 9 years. He then joined New Zealand’s largest marine electronics company heading up the AV/IT department for 2 years before starting Liquid Automation.

Stephan’s skills include: Crestron, AMX, Lutron, DSC, Fibre optics, Audio-Video Routing Technology, IT/AV/Cisco system Engineering along with detailed Project Management.

Director: Bruce Cox

Bruce has been in Marine Electronics since 1981; specialising in the Superyacht Industry since 1994. Bruce has held positions of Service Manager for 3 years, Technical Manager for 2 years and Sales Engineer for 3 years with New Zealand’s largest marine electronics company.

Bruce has extensive experience not only in project management, but also in hands on installation, product technical specification, and above all excellent customer service.

With the growth of the business, Bruce has moved from a technical role to CFO and business systems role.

The Team

The combined experience and skills of the Liquid Automation team ensures a perfect installation.

Operations Manager: Sam Ashton

Sam has been an integral part of Liquid Automation for the past ten years. He has a wide range of knowledge across many disciplines, and is a specialist in marine AV and IT. Sam is still involved hands on with many of our current projects, but also manages day-to-day operations within the company itself.

Sam has designed and project managed some of our largest systems, including the multi-award winning systems onboard S/Y Vertigo, and handles the technical support for our fleet of yachts throughout the world.

CAD Draftsman And Logistics Manager: Mike Willis

With over 18 years experience in various roles including CAD Drafting, Logistics and Cabling, Mike joined the Liquid Automation team in 2008.

He provides logistical support to Liquid’s project managers and installation crew and prepares documentation for the various projects undertaken.

Cad Coordinator : Julia Hill

Julia graduated University with a degree in Business Psychology in 2011. Since then, she has worked in Recruitment and had work experience in a CAD Design company before coming to Liquid Automation.

Julia creates CAD drawings from sketches of the system that a designer provides, creating a drawing package of the different systems involved in the project, accompanied by cable schedules to match.

Installer: John Bailey

John joined the Liquid Automation team towards the end of 2010. John has over 10 years experience with installation, starting out with Commercial Telecommunications/Data and then moved into residential/commercial automation.

Installer: Rob Maher

Rob graduated SAE with a Diploma in Audio Engineering in 2009. He then worked at Multi-Media Systems as a live sound engineer and lighting effects programmer. Rob had a big hand in the set up, programming and operation of some of New Zealand’s biggest events, including (though not limited to) award ceremonies, conferences, expos and concerts.

Installer: Elliot Brooks

Elliot has 7 years experience in the AV industry, and has worked in some of New Zealand’s most exclusive homes. Elliot studied Audio Visual Technology at University, and started working for Liquid Automation in May 2015.

Installer: Joel O’Connor

Joel graduated with a Diploma in PC Support & Networking in 2016. Joel has spent the last 8 years working in the IT and Automation industry, and joined Liquid Automation in January 2017.
